In the last few weeks before summer break, here at Rooftop, a public school in San Francisco, CA., students were very alarmed and concerned about the devastation that was unfolding before our eyes in the Gulf of Mexico. Wanting some way to voice concern and to promote some action and education,
students created art to try to reach out and take some action against this man made tragedy. We hope this blog can promote some interest in getting involved.
If you know of any links that can direct people to help the people, ocean, animals, sea creatures, marshes,
environment in the gulf states, please add to this blog.
Here is one link that directs people to get involved:

If you are a student that wants to add your Anti Oil-Spill art to this blog, we welcome you!
Thank you!

ReplyDeleteA picture is worth a thousand words.

Not willing to give into the notion of doing nothing, the Center for a Better South has launched a new project to shine a different light on what’s happening in the Gulf. The center, a pragmatic nonpartisan policy think tank, has started a collaborative photo blog — www.BetterGulf.org — to pair vivid images of what the spill means to people with their stories and perspectives.
Please encourage everyone to send photos of the spill to http://www.bettergulf.org
Together we can show and document the truth.
Thanks!
